KitchenRx is InclusivCare's Food as Medicine program, designed to help patients improve their health through simple, practical nutrition support.
This program connects patients with:
KitchenRx is built on one simple idea: Food can play a powerful role in preventing and managing chronic conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure, and heart disease.
Program Participation
Kitchen Rx is a targeted program offered to select patients based on clinical and care needs. While participation may vary, all patients can benefit from the principles of Food as Medicine and apply simple steps toward healthier living.


KitchenRx is focused on supporting patients an families across Jefferson Parish, including underserved communities on the Westbank.
In partnership with Second Harvest Food Bank, we encourage our patients and surrounding neighbors to attend the Mobile Market every Thursday in Avondale.

You don’t have to change everything at once.
Start small:
• Add one fruit or vegetable to your next meal

• Choose baked or grilled options when possible
Small changes can lead to meaningful results over time

Jefferson Community Health Centers, Inc. (JCHCC) is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC)-dba, InclusivCare-with 20 years of experience serving the people of Jefferson Parish, Louisiana, first as a Look-Alike Health Center before becoming a full-scale FQHC in March 2006. With years of work in the communities that make up Jefferson Parish, InclusivCare addresses many barriers to care affecting the region including high rates of poverty, lack of insurance, and limited availability of affordable and accessible health care services.
